Graduated from Indian Military Academy in December 1984. Joined Royal Sappers and Miners Regiment as a 2nd Lt. Served at Indo - China border and attained the rank of ‘Captain’ during Army tenure. Successfully completed weapons course, bomb disposal and commando course.
Post retirement, moved to UK and successfully ran a Facilities Management Company, progressing it into a MNC with Operations in UK, UAE and India.

Have presented complex scientific and corporate positions before sectoral regulators such as Genetic Engineering Approval Committee ("GEAC") and Department of Biotechnology, Trade Groups and associations, Parliamentary Committees and Supreme Court appointed Technical Experts Committees etc. to influence regulatory / policy evolution and to promote Freedom to Operate (FTO) market conditions. Experience also includes advising leading Satellite Pay TV / DTH on various legal and regulatory issues. Prior to the same, he had been part of a launch team of the biggest Radio FM network in India and helped close all Music licensing agreements for Radio network.
